WHAT IS BOUDOIR
Boudoir photography is the art of taking glamorous, and classy photos, mainly of female subjects. It features sensual and stylish poses mostly in lingerie, dressing gowns or half nudes. It stresses more on the aesthetic qualities of the subject instead of the image’s sexually stimulating nature. Boudoir photos are very beautiful and highly attractive to the eye.
NOTE: Noel Photography and Design only books females of 18 years or older for Boudoir sessions. Boudoir sessions will NOT include images of full frontal nudity or genitalia.
It all started around the 1920’s with French artist, Albert Arthur Allen. Despite nude photography basically being illegal, he created stunning photographs of larger women, posed romantically against gorgeous ornate backgrounds. This gave boudoir photography the foundation it needed to get started.
With femininity on the rise, and the appreciation of the curvy, female form growing the 1940s and 1950s brought a pin-up craze you wouldn’t believe. Moving from drawn illustrations to actual photographs.
Today, Boudoir photography is used purely to focus on making women of all shapes and sizes focus on their best qualities with a series of tasteful, classy and glamorous photographs!
WHAT DO I WEAR?
At the end of the day, the goal is for you to feel and look beautiful in your own skin. To help narrow down your options, ladies should consider their “problem areas” and what they’ll be most comfortable posing in. Here are a few great options to consider:
• Matching Bra and Panty Set
• Baby Dolls with matching pant.
• Corsets / Bustiers with matching panties and/or garter belts and stockings.
• One of his button up shirts with matching bra and panties
• His favorite sport jersey with matching panties.
• Lingerie options are endless. Remember to do a little research on the various types!
Add accessories to your outfits as well:
• Chunky bracelets, necklaces and/or earrings
• Long, delicate necklaces (ie. pearl strings)
• Body Jewelry (ie. Body chains, arm bands, ankle bracelets, and/or coordinating belly button rings)
